Job description
WHO WE ARE
Adikteev is an AdTech company that helps mobile app publishers grow their revenue through targeted advertising. We deliver personalized ads that drive users to install an app or re-engage with one they've stopped using.
Our clients are mostly mobile gaming leaders but also span e-commerce, on-demand services, and entertainment apps. Recognized for 10+ years as one of the top mobile retargeting platforms, Adikteev now operates globally from Paris, San Francisco, Barcelona and Seoul and has grown to over 120 employees.
Beyond the business, Adikteev is consistently recognized as a great place to work. With an 18-nationality team, a 4.5-day work week, and a strong focus on inclusion, Adikteev is a place where people genuinely stay.
WHAT TEAM YOU WILL BE PART OF
You will join the backbone of Adikteev's infrastructure. This team ensures that all our systems run reliably, securely and at scale. They own the infrastructure, manage deployments and make sure our platform stays up and performant, even at millions of requests per second.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
Set the reliability direction: Define and evolve Adikteev’s reliability engineering strategy, technical standards, and long-term roadmap across our multi-region AWS platform.
Lead cloud architecture at scale: Design, review, and improve a large-scale AWS infrastructure spanning thousands of instances and three regions. Make sound architectural decisions across compute, networking, storage, observability, security, and cost.
Drive platform scalability: Ensure that our infrastructure and services can reliably handle more than 4 million requests per second. Identify future scaling limits, establish capacity-planning practices, and lead initiatives that improve performance, efficiency, and resilience.
Own critical reliability outcomes: Lead the resolution of high-severity incidents, coordinate technical response across teams, and ensure that postmortems result in meaningful, measurable improvements. Help evolve our incident-management and operational-readiness practices.
Influence beyond the Reliability Engineering team: Partner with Backend Engineers, Data Engineers, Product Managers, and other technical stakeholders to embed reliability, performance, security, and operability into system design from the beginning.
Establish engineering standards: Define and promote best practices for service ownership, production readiness, monitoring, alerting, capacity management, disaster recovery, change management, and safe deployment.
Build scalable automation: Lead the design and implementation of automation, Infrastructure-as-Code, and self-service tooling that reduce operational effort and enable engineering teams to move quickly without compromising reliability.
Improve observability and operational insight: Set the direction for monitoring, logging, tracing, alerting. Make it easier for teams to understand system health, detect issues early, and perform effective failure analysis.
Champion CI/CD and developer enablement: Improve our continuous integration and deployment practices, delivery pipelines, release safety, and developer experience. Enable product teams to deploy and operate their services with increasing autonomy.
Lead complex technical initiatives: Take ownership of ambiguous, cross-functional projects involving multiple services, teams, and regions. Break down complex problems, align stakeholders, make pragmatic trade-offs, and drive initiatives through to completion.
Raise the technical bar: Provide thoughtful design reviews, architecture guidance, and constructive feedback across engineering. Mentor Senior Engineers and help develop the reliability capabilities of the broader organization.
Balance reliability with business impact: Make clear trade-offs between availability, latency, delivery speed, engineering effort, and infrastructure cost. Connect reliability investments to Adikteev’s business goals and customer impact.
WHO YOU ARE
You could be a great addition to our Engineering team if you:
Have extensive experience designing, operating, and evolving large-scale, multi-region AWS infrastructure in production.
Have a strong track record of improving the reliability, scalability, and performance of high-throughput distributed systems.
Think beyond individual services and can reason about the reliability of an entire platform, including dependencies, failure modes, operational processes, and organizational practices.
Have deep expertise in observability, including metrics, logs, traces, alerting, dashboards, incident response.
Write clean, maintainable, and testable code in at least two languages, with a strong focus on automation, tooling, and Infrastructure-as-Code.
Have expert-level experience with Terraform, and understand how to build maintainable platforms used by multiple engineering teams.
Are comfortable working close to the system, with strong knowledge of Linux, networking, operating-system behavior, and performance troubleshooting.
Have experience designing or improving autoscaling, capacity planning, resilience, disaster recovery, and cost-efficiency strategies.
Have owned or led the resolution of complex production incidents and can turn operational learnings into systemic improvements.
Are able to establish technical direction and gain alignment across teams without relying on formal authority.
Have a track record of mentoring engineers, raising engineering standards, and multiplying your impact through others.
Are comfortable navigating ambiguity, making decisions with incomplete information, and balancing technical excellence with business priorities.
Are a clear and empathetic communicator who can explain complex technical topics to both engineers and non-specialist stakeholders.
Remain calm and decisive under pressure, while promoting a blameless and learning-oriented approach to operations.
Are fluent in English.
Please note that, to comply with employment regulations, applicants are required to maintain residency and be legally authorized to work in France or the European Union in order to be considered for this position.
